Actually, we are quite excited about the music and art activities we are developing on our chosen theme:
During our Music activities, we will enjoy some fun music through interactive partner play, scarf dancing, instrument play, circle dances, and more. You can hear much of the sweet jazz music on the album Noodles From Scratch on Kindermusik International’s music download site, play.kindermusik.com. Registered families will get a code card to download this album.
During the Art activities, we will enjoy fun candy making activity, using fabulous recipes with fun shaped molds, candy pops, and chocolate covered delights. Children of all ages will get jazzed while helping make these delicacies develop. Our goal is to help them make enough to give some as a Mother’s Day present (wrapping and all) !!!
Register in advance for the event(s) of your choice by completing this simple Registration Form.
You will receive a confirmation by email with your total cost, which you can bring to the event.
What music do you listen to while enjoying Kitchen Time with your child? Upbeat Jazz is, by far, our family’s “generally approved” favorite. I personally like Benny Goodman – big band jazz for kitchen, or any housecleaning teamwork. The beat keeps the body moving and is too cheerful to let negative vibes creep in. My 16 year old likes Weird Al Yankovic songs, Japanese Anime soundtracks, or video game soundtracks. We can all sing Weird Al’s “The Saga Begins” and “Yoda”, as well as “Still Alive” from Portal… even my 8 year old daughter knows the words. Not exactly Kindermusik, but it brings our family together. The key in our family is to take turns letting each person choose TWO songs each.
I was wondering if there was still a space for the Music Art and Family Playdate. I have Addison who will be 2 in June and Emily who is almost 5 months. I understand that Emily can’t participate but I was hoping to be allowed to bring her in a carrier strapped to me. We might be going out of town right after that so I was really hoping I could bring her along.
