As music educators, this feeling of connection and being a part of our community is something we LOVE, and we want to share these feelings of peace and joy with others this November and December on Monday nights. And

This is INTENTIONALLY all inclusive …
– all generations of young and young at heart
– people of all colors, cultures and beliefs
The songs we choose will be songs that bring peace and joy to those who are singing and listening. We will choose songs from Christian faith, as well as from Jewish faith, and those not related to any faith. We have chosen 3 songs so far that we believe will help us connect with each other and with those in the community. These songs can be found on the Music Connections website, musiconnx.com/sing-peace
This is not a “performing” group, we intend to be interactive and have fun as we go out in the community to children’s homes and rest homes, and wherever else we can connect more people with this feeling. We will end each one of our get togethers with a dance break with Vince Giraldi’s music on the Peanuts Christmas album.
You will love the folks who are dedicated to making this happen.
I met Rosemary Bridges as she was working with a small choir as part of my daughter’s school, Lakeland Montessori. She has an excellent background with music and building choirs with a variety of voices and personalities, so I knew she would be the perfect coordinator with this adventure. And when I brought it up, she became eager and excited about making this happen. My daughter and I both love her, and we know you will too.
Makenna Hicks is our newest licensed Kindermusik educator with Music Connections. She will be co-teaching our Level 5 program with young musicians. She and I came up with this idea on our road trip to our Kindermusik Conference this summer, and we are both excited to engage as many people as possible in this amazing feeling of connection through singing together.
Important Dates
Mondays 6 – 7 pm is the time that the three of us can make this happen.
On Oct. 22, Monday at 6 – 7 pm. our Meet & Greet gives us an opportunity to get to know all who are interested in joining us, and for us to choose the songs we will sing together, and discuss potential places for us to visit and engage others…. AND do a little singing as well. If you absolutely cannot make it in person, watch for a bit of sharing via FB LIVE that night. But really, let’s do our best to make this a face to face opportunity for connection.
There are six Mondays in November and December (not on the weeks of Thanksgiving or Christmas) for us to get together to sing and learn the songs and make our plans, with several of those dates being opportunities to include others in the community.
This holiday season, let’s give the gift of connection through music, in person.
