As we stay home to stay safe, our families are hungry… for an ongoing array of tasty snacks and meals, for lighthearted mealtimes and help in the kitchen, for new music and ideas to inspire us, and for connection with friends. Ms Debbie has prepared a smorgesbord of Kindermusik units to meet these needs for your family with your young children: delightful tid bits with our tiny babies, tapas with our toddlers, buffets with our families, and a Jazz Kitchen for our preschoolers.
Each week during May of 2020, you and your child have opportunities to connect with Ms Debbie and our Kindermusik friends, during any or all of our ONLINE class times at the right level for your child or family.
So join us as we Mix in some upbeat music, good manners & creative explorations with these meals and snacks, and we have a daily kitchen carousel that keeps you and your little ones smiling. You may already know a few songs about food, but these Kindermusik units give you so much more singable songs, and danceable tunes, and so many ways for you and your children to delight each other in the kitchen.

During this unique moment in time, all our Kindermusik programs are being offered ONLINE through the ZOOM app. It is so easy for you to connect with our little ones AND with other families through music. From the comfort of your own home (even in pajamas), you and your child will be led through a variety of multi-sensory musical play opportunities, as we explore concepts through singing, dancing, playing instruments and experimenting with a variety of props, like scarves and dishes.
This May, the program units for each age group include:
- 45 min. lessons offered multiple times each week
- Your album of music, story book, video field trips, activities, ideas, and printables – ALL accessible through your personal ONLINE account on phone, computer or mobile device. You also have options to add on physical materials as well: CD, book & instrument.
- Weekly emails and posts on our private FB group to continue to inspire your family’s food fun.
- All of this for just $65. Add physical materials for $17

Foundations for Tiny To Toddling = Peas & Carrots
- Wed. 11:30 – families may also join in our level 1 class times
Whether you are finding ways to keep baby occupied while food is being prepared, or dancing around in the kitchen, or learning about first foods fed to babies around the world… this unit will provide ample ideas to add spark and special moments to your everyday meal and snack routines. PLUS, we use American Sign Language in our communications with our little ones focusing on meal time words, which are HIGHLY motivating.

Level 1: Active Explorers = Yum!
- Tues. 9:30 and Wed. 12:30
You’ll ‘gobble up’ this unit’s songs about strawberries and pancakes, apples, raisins, and other yummy treats. Then, you’ll move, move, move! Little bodies learn movement, coordination, and body awareness through contrasts—so get ready to move your body in high-and-low, large-and-small, and even energetic-and-calm ways. Our toddlers are now ready to start communicating a bit about their meals with some of our American Sign Language focusing on words about FOOD (highly motivating for them), and MANNERS (appreciated by all).

Level 2: Toddlers, 2s & young 3s – Time for Lunch
- Tues, Wed, Thurs. at 10:30 – for 2s and young 3s
- Wed. 9:30 for early birds and children of multiple ages
- Thurs. 6 pm for working families with children of multiple ages
Come and get it! There’s nothing that gives us more joy and comfort than sharing good meals and good stories with those we love. In this unit, we’ll explore food – from preparing and eating – through songs, vocal play, instruments and focused listening activities. So wash your hands, put on your apron, and be ready for some pretend play, and real meal prep. It’s time to grow some peas, snap the veggies, and mix up some delicious delights with your little ones. Fill your child’s vocabulary and singing voice with songs that you will savor. Adding in some ASL signs will be a delightful way to accentuate our manners at mealtimes. Please… and Thank You !

Level 3-4: Three to Five year olds – Jazz Kitchen
- Tues & Thurs. at 11:30
- Tues. at 6 pm.
Throw in a half a cup of movement with a generous cup of beat and divided beat. Next, stir in some vocal play, gently fold in colorful flowing streamers and some egg shakers, and your well on your way to a Jazzy good time. Jazz music, with its famous instruments, cool improvisation, upbeat tunes, and its roots in southern American history, mixes perfectly with our meals and kitchens theme to provide a diverse and exciting unit. Your children are sure to delight in singing the jazzy refrain of Noodles from Scratch. New vocabulary abounds with words from the jazz genre as well as from the kitchen. Why, by lesson 4, their singing is sure to be al dente!
