Your little one LOVES to play Peek-a-boo with you ! And you can make it even more of a delight by learning this little rhyme, created by Debbie Mondale, which guides you through a variety of ways to play with the scarf, with your voice, and with each other. Along the way, you’ll learn some of the many benefits for your developing child as you play it together again and again.
This little man is playing interactive peekaboo with Ms Debbie during one of our recent ONLINE Kindermusik classes this Spring. He quickly caught on to the sequence, and LOVES to pop the scarf in the air at the end and sing WHEEE as it falls to the floor.

This video is not really meant for children to enjoy by themselves, or with anyone, really. It is designed for YOU, your child’s favorite partner, to learn and get peekaboo ideas that you will enjoy sharing with your child. So, if perchance, it looks as if I am treating the viewer like a child, such as asking what color the scarf is, or wondering where my toes are, please just consider these some fun ways to present this with your child (and accept my appreciation for your patience with my personal default setting of interacting with children).

1, 2, 3… Peek-a-boo, I see you.
You make me LAUGH, oh yes, you do.
Up, Up, Up, on top of my head…
Peeking out from the covers on top of my bed
Down to my nose, peeking over the top.
Then down to my toes… ‘til it goes… POP !
WHEEEeeeee…
These repeated playful peekaboo interactions you and your little one share is where the magical process of music can do it’s wonderous work in making connections within your child, and with each other.
As a Kindermusik educator in Lakeland, FL for over 20 years, it is my greatest pleasure to provide so many of these ideas for interactive play with your child, paired with some of the best songs beloved by generations over time, and from around the world.
