YES, we are moving and enjoying making music together in our NEW Studio at UMT starting November 1, 2019.

YES, we just moved in June to Redemption Church, and we are grateful for the time in our warm music room at that location.  But their congregation is growing and they need the room.

It never ceases to amaze me that when an unexpected turn happens, it can lead to the most wonderful opportunities that may not have been experienced otherwise.

And this turn has led us to the United Methodist Temple, where we are being welcomed with open arms.  We are truly grateful to the good words that were shared from some of our previous Kindermusik families that helped make this connection happen so quickly.

Our NEW studio at UMT is located at 2700 S. Florida Ave. in Lakeland.  To access the parking lot, turn on Rogers Terrace road headed East off of S. Florida Ave.  It is easy if coming from the South, not even a full block North from Edgewood Rd.  But if approaching from the North, be aware that the turn lane in the center may have folks trying to enter it to turn on Pablo to get to the Southgate Publix Plaza

Our NEW Studio at UMT includes two full rooms, brightened with natural light, and just the perfect size for all that we need.

Check out the teal color of the walls, which actually is a close match to our brand color already, just a bit darker.  We are painting the upper walls grey to warm up the room a bit.  And our friends at Frogs Floor Care will be taking out that carpet and cleaning the floors for us in preparation for our purple mats, which fit just perfectly in the room.

The WE in painting mostly refers to my ever-patient husband, who continues to be willing to apply his expertise in painting, and other handy-man skills, to each of the new locations for our Kindermusik programs.  He loves me.  And, he is wondering how many places in Lakeland he will have to paint.

Several friends, part of my Kindermusik family, have come to help me clean it up, and get it ready for the renovations.   I am so grateful for everyone’s willingness to help me create a happy space that is warm and welcoming for all of us who want to make music together.

Check out this accessible bathroom with both an adult  and a child sized toilet.  It was recently remodeled and is a clean place for our families’ needs.  Another unique feature is that it has two doors, one opens to the waiting room, and the other into the Kindermusik room.  This will make it easy to access, and allows a child to seek help from a parent if needed.

Our Waiting room for our families is a nice open space that will accomodate play space on carpet, snack space on tile, and a diaper changing station.   There is also plenty of room for an office for Lisa and I to take care of your enrollments and communications.  You just can’t see it in the picture.

Do you see the door to the right in the picture?  That is a nice size storage room, which we plan to use as a PEACE room, for over-stimulated children to have a safe place to regain their calm along with their parent.  I’ll share more on that later.

I look forward to making music with you in our new space in our classes after Nov. 1.  In the mean time, I have a lot of work to do to get this ready for you.  Classes will continue at the Redemption Church location throughout October.

No matter where we are, where there is music and love, together we can make a difference in the lives of children and families.
