The students who have just completed Kindermusik for the Young Child – Semester 2 – have reason to celebrate.  They have learned, through music and movement, about MANY basic music concepts, how to read and write rhythms, as well as how to read and write musical notation for songs in the pentatonic scale, and to play these songs on a glockenspiel.  Sing and Celebrate with me, as we review some of my favorite pictures of my students this semester.

Through movement with the hoops, we learned about piano and forte sounds.  With scarves, we learned about Staccato and Legato.  It is easy to see by their facial expressions that they are learning to express themselves through music.  I am looking forward to our second year together!
