Does your house in the summer sometimes feel like a ZOO? Does your child love to pretend to be a big cat, on the prowl, ready to leap, pounce and ROAR? We have a song to accompany and tame that lion.
Do you call your two year old a MONKEY… for a reason? We have a song that your monkey will love and will help them direct their energy, and perhaps even your whole FAMILY of monkeys.
If you have a little “parrot”, we have a song that will be your favorite new way to connect with the heart.
Exploring the world of wild animals is fascinating to children of all ages. A trip to the zoo or an animal park to see the live animals takes families into a whole new world they don’t typically see. But the fun and magic of this experience can come alive everyday for you and your family with the songs and activities from the Kindermusik Summer Adventure.
ZOO TRAIN was designed to capture these delightful experiences at the zoo, drawing on the movements, sights, and sounds of the zoo animals to inspire musical experiences and the beginnings of imaginary play. Our happy Kindermusik studio in Lakeland is a safe and cool place for our little animals to be engaged and connected through musical play WITH you, and some friends.
In our 2018 summer camps, there are six different ecosystems, developed in the context of the animals you will meet that day. These weekly lessons are designed to offer just the right balance of structure and spontaneity, of group play and individual exploration and to offer the stability and gentle guidance needed to nurture creativity in the very young.
Your family will be immersed in different ecosystems along with their native animals through our classes together:
- Zoo Train Grand Parade: The Alley Allee O (Zoo Train) and All Animal Parade
- Jungle Jam: Giraffes, Zebras, Lions & Elephants
- Close Encounters of the Wild Kind: Petting Animals, Pony rides, The Aviary
- Dancing Down Under: Kangaroos, Kookaburras, Dingos
- Rockin’ Rain Forest: Monkeys & Parrots; Tree frogs & Sloths
- Polar Paradise: Polar Bears, Seals & Penguins
These lessons are scheduled at a variety of times throughout the summer, offered on Tues, Wed. & Thursdays (including an evening class group). Your family is encouraged to schedule a consistent day and time so you catch each unique theme, and generally have consistency with the families also enrolled in that class time. Flexible schedules allows you to fit the lessons into your family’s unique summer plans.
Zso Train is a special summer unit designed specifically for children from 1 1/2 – 3 1/2 years old, but also works great for families enrolling with siblings a bit younger and/ or older.
Summer enrollment includes 8 lessons and a hard back Zoo Train Book, a high quality CD full of music your family will LOVE, an animal shaped shaker, and some craft supplies for a few projects to help your little one with their pretend play.
The 8 class package means you can choose to attend once a week for 8 weeks, or twice a week for 4 weeks, or however it fits into your schedule. It is easy to reschedule dates as things come up.
BE AWARE that if you are quite sure you cannot attend 8 lessons, you are welcome to talk with me about a different enrollment package that will work for you. Any prorating must be arranged for in advance.
Make sure to check the dates and class times on our 2018 Summer Schedule:

"It is SOOOO nice to get out of the house and have a cool place to play on the floor and connect with my girl. She is so excited when she knows it is Kindermusik day. And she is ALL about the animals. The kangaroo song is definitely her favorite." It is so amazing to hear her sweet singing voice along with the music in the car, and especially when she was singing to the parrots at the real zoo. This totally made our summer!"Cara Roland with her 1st daughter in Kindermusik
